Honorary Dean

Born in Singapore, Darrell Ang studied conducting in St. Petersburg with Leonid Korchmar and continued at Yale with Shinik Hahm. He became the youngest Associate Conductor of the Singapore Symphony OrchestraOne of Asia’s most sought-after conductors, Darrell Ang conducted orchestras in over twenty countries across the globe last season, including the ORF Vienna, Slovak Philharmonic, Deutsche Staatsphilharmonie, New Zealand Symphony, Antalya Symphony, USA’s Pacific Symphony, New Japan Philharmonic, Orquesta Sinfónica de la UAEH (Mexico), Estonian National and the Manila Symphony. A Grammy Award Nominee for Best Orchestral Performance, Darrell has been hailed by Tatler Asia as a classical musical prodigy, and one of Singapore’s best known music exports. Today, he is Artistic Director and Chief Conductor of The Sichuan Orchestra of China, and also leads Hitmaker Global Academy as Honorary Dean.
