Hollaphonic was born out of a small studio in the Arabian desert of Dubai, the brainchild of Olly Wood & Greg Stainer, two British electronic artists with a House and UK Garage history; soon after this fun-loving pair soared into the charts, packed dance-floors around the world and collected multiple industry awards. The first electronic act to sign to a major label in the Middle East, Hollaphonic released their debut album ‘Personal Space’ through Universal in 2015 to great critical acclaim, landing 4 No.1 singles and a No.1 album in various charts across eight countries; their track Dangerous reached No.3 on the global Shazam trending charts and BBC R1Xtra featured it as their track of the week.
Holla have found great success across Asian markets, their debut single on Sony Music ‘Spaceship’ has had over 10m streams worldwide and featured in the Top 10 on the JOOX (Tencent) Thai charts for 11 months, peaking at No.1. In Sept 2018 they enjoyed their first Asian No.1 grabbing top spot in Thailand’s main chart through a collaboration with Thai superstar Peck Palitchoke. 2019 saw them release their first K-Pop track with former U-Kiss Star Kevin Woo which was performed livestream to millions from a packed Kcon in Madison Square Gardens. More big releases planned in 2019 on Sony, the duo’s single ‘One Night’ set to be their first Sony global priority and with sets at Tomorrowland with One World Radio and several large festivals incoming it is only getting bigger. The duo have also produced remixes for Alan Walker, Philip George, Sigma, Nervo and more recently for Peck Palitchoke.
The Hollaphonic live show is packed with energy, and they’ve performed on some big stages!… playing to over ½ million fans to date, opening stages for the likes of P!NK, David Guetta, Seal, Robin Schulz, Armin Van Buuren and Tiesto and playing on line-ups alongside such megastars as Coldplay, Calvin Harris, Major Lazer, Rudimental, DJ Snake, Disclosure and many more. Their performance style is the perfect mix of crowd pleasing body moving dance beats and soulful vocals, blended with rhythmic basslines and colorful visuals. They know how to build the hype as an opening act and own the stage as headliners.
Finally, 2019 saw them sign a deal with Dance FM, the leading dance music station based in the UAE and enjoy a prime time weekday and weekend show broadcasting to over 1/2 million listeners a day.
