Course Outline

The Diploma in Commerce at Hitmaker Global Academy is a comprehensive one-year programme that equips students with a strong foundation in business studies. The programme comprises of 10 carefully curated modules, each designed to provide students with the essential knowledge and skills required to excel in the business world.

Upon completing the Diploma in Commerce programme at Hitmaker Global Academy, students will be able to:

Introduction to Management
This module introduces students to the fundamental principles and practices of management, including topics such as organizational structure, leadership, decision-making, and strategic planning.
Microeconomics
This module covers the principles of microeconomics, including the concepts of supply and demand, market structures, consumer behaviour, and production theory, providing students with a solid understanding of how individual economic agents operate in the market.
Business Statistics
This module focuses on the application of statistical techniques in business decision-making. Students will learn how to analyse and interpret data, make informed business decisions, and understand statistical concepts such as probability, sampling, and hypothesis testing.
Fundamentals of Finance
This module provides students with an overview of the basic principles of finance, including topics such as financial statements analysis, time value of money, risk and return, and capital budgeting.
Introduction to Marketing
This module introduces students to the fundamental concepts and strategies of marketing, including topics such as market segmentation, marketing research, product development, and pricing.
Fundamentals of Accounting
This module provides students with a solid foundation in financial accounting, including topics such as financial statement preparation, financial analysis, and budgeting, enabling them to understand and interpret financial information for decision-making purposes.
Financial Management
This module builds upon the fundamentals of finance and covers advanced topics such as capital structure, working capital management, risk management, and valuation, providing students with a deeper understanding of financial management principles and practices.
Strategic Management
This module focuses on strategic planning and decision-making in a business context. Students will learn how to analyse and evaluate business opportunities, formulate effective strategies, and implement strategic initiatives to achieve organizational goals.
Calculus 1
This module introduces students to the fundamental concepts of calculus, including topics such as limits, derivatives, and integrals, providing them with a solid foundation in mathematical principles applicable to business and economic decision-making.
Macroeconomics for Business Decision
This module covers the principles of macroeconomics, including topics such as national income, inflation, unemployment, fiscal policy, and monetary policy, enabling students to understand the broader economic context in which businesses operate.

Course Information

The Diploma in Commerce (DCOM) programme at Hitmaker Global Academy is designed to provide students with a solid foundation in business studies. Through a comprehensive curriculum that covers essential areas such as management, economics, finance, marketing, and accounting, students will gain the knowledge and skills needed to succeed in the dynamic world of business. The programme is delivered by experienced faculty who are passionate about teaching and research, and is designed to develop students’ critical thinking, problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills. Covid Advisory – Due to the restrictions, class size is kept to the limitation of 1 – 2 metres distancing measures. Student shall expect a smaller class sizes or smaller cohort sizes.

  • High Distinction (HD) – 90 Marks and Above
  • Distinction (D) – 75 to 89
