Visitors can expect to see classrooms, classrooms, libraries, and other facilities. This is a great opportunity to visualize the daily school life and ask questions about the facilities and resources available.

2. Meeting with Teachers and Staff: During the tour, families have the chance to meet and converse with teachers and administrative staff. This is particularly valuable for understanding the curriculum, teaching methodologies, and how the school supports students in achieving their VCE goals.

4. Information Sessions: Information sessions or seminars are usually part of the Info Day. These sessions cover key topics like course selection, VCE assessment and examination procedures, college preparation, and career guidance. They are essential for understanding how the VCE program is structured and what is expected of students.

5. Q&A and Panel Discussions: Info Days often feature Q&A sessions or panel discussions where prospective students and parents can ask questions directly to staff, current students, or alumni. These discussions are invaluable for gaining insights into student experiences, success stories, and how the school prepares students for life beyond VCE.

6. Networking and Community Building: Info Days provide a great opportunity to network with other prospective families and members of the school community. This helps in building connections and getting a sense of the community spirit within the school.

Audition & Interview Requirements
During the Open Day at Hitmaker High School, prospective students interested in Music, Business, and Art programs will have the opportunity to participate in interviews and auditions as part of the application process.

For VCE Music Stream:

Candidates for the Music Stream are required to perform two contrasting pieces. These performances should not exceed 10 minutes in total. This is an opportunity for applicants to showcase their musical skills, versatility, and passion. The contrasting pieces should demonstrate different styles or periods, allowing students to display their range and depth as musicians. Following the performance, there will be a 15-minute interview. This interview is designed to understand the candidate’s musical background, aspirations, and how they see themselves contributing to and benefiting from the Music VCE program at Hitmaker High School.

For VCE Business Stream:

Applicants for the Business program will have a 15-minute interview. This session aims to assess the candidate’s interest in business studies, their understanding of basic business concepts, and their long-term career goals. The interview also provides an opportunity for students to ask questions about the program and discuss how Hitmaker High School can help them achieve their aspirations.

For VCE Art Stream:

For the Art Stream, applicants are expected to present a portfolio of their work. This presentation is a critical part of the application, as it showcases the candidate’s artistic skills, creativity, and development over time. After the portfolio presentation, there will be a 15-minute interview. The interview allows the faculty to gain insights into the student’s artistic process, inspiration, and how they plan to further develop their talents at Hitmaker High School.
